Red Light Buena Vista is an experimental documentary set in Bueche’s neighborhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It investigates the somatic experience of living between two very busy roads and juxtaposes infrared tri-color photographs, portraits of Bueche’s neighbors moving as fast as they can (with a 4x5 strapped to a bicycle), and still photographs along the busy corridor. An essay in the appendix sifts through personal and neighborhood history to think about how urban spaces manage and contain feelings.
